The RISE Summer Leadership Institute is a residential program at Arizona State University for rising high school juniors and seniors ready to explore college, careers, and their leadership potential. Students live on campus and engage in hands-on, interactive learning focused on leadership development, entrepreneurship, and community impact.
Through career-connected projects and real-world problem solving, students build practical skills. By the end of the program, participants gain clarity about college pathways, build confidence in their next steps, and a strong sense of belonging as future Sun Devils.
Applications for Summer 2026 are now closed.
The RISE program provides an immersive residential experience that prepares students for success in college, career, and beyond, with a focus on:
- Understanding College & Careers: Students gain a better understanding of how college connects to different career paths. Through experiential learning opportunities and conversations with professionals, participants start to see how their interests and goals can turn into real opportunities.
- Confidence in their Next Steps: RISE helps students feel more confident about their future. Participants leave with a clearer sense of direction, stronger confidence, and tools to make informed decisions about what comes next.
- Real-World Leadership Skills: Students strengthen practical leadership skills that can be implemented immediately in academic, professional, and community settings.. From communication to teamwork, participants practice skills that matter beyond the classroom.
