HMDP Spotlight

Headshot

What HMDP did for me and my family is invaluable. The connection between me, my family and ASU was so important to my success and made me feel comfortable being the first member of my family to earn a college degree.

Parent student commitment

Applicants selected for the program attend workshops and events throughout the students’ 8th grade and high school years. Students in the program also receive ongoing counseling and support from HMDP advisors.

HMDP was originally designed to serve Hispanic mothers and their daughters. Although the program has retained this name, neither gender nor ethnicity will be a consideration as participants are chosen for the program. All students and their parents/guardians are encouraged to apply.

HMDP welcomes applications from students who are entering 8th grade, as well as those currently in grades 8 through 12. Parent/student teams are invited to participate in in-person and digital workshops offered throughout the school year. The program provides continuous guidance, resources, and support to help families stay on track toward college readiness and success.
