SPARKS

SPARKS is dedicated to increasing college readines

SPARKS helps ignite a transformative journey, empowering current students to tap into their limitless potential as they encourage a college-going culture and motivate change within their communities and those we serve. They create a culture that values and celebrates the pursuit of knowledge beyond K-12. We aim to inspire students to envision their future selves through storytelling on first-hand experiences in pursuing higher education. This helps our ambassadors shape their career competencies, amplify their advocacy skills, and embrace opportunities for purposeful volunteerism.

SPARKS Spotlight

For my service hours, I attended many tabling events with SPARKS, also known as ‘Students, Providing, Awareness, Resources, and Knowledge to Start college,’ “Through this, I learned about the importance of giving back and helping many first-generation families who are unaware of the next steps they should take in order to get their child to college.
