Join us for a Sun Devil Summer
Summer programs at Arizona State University are a great way to keep students of all ages engaged creatively and academically in between school years.
Many different kinds of summer programs are offered to students as young as age 11 and up to 19, including exciting opportunities involving art, science, music, healthcare, business and college preparation.
The School of Art at ASU offers several programs for those interested in expressing themselves creatively. With classes offered for all skill levels in various mediums, students are sure to find a program that suits their interests perfectly. ASU’s Tempe campus is home to most of this summer’s artistic programs, geared for those ages 13-18. At Clay Camp, students will learn valuable ceramic skills via hand building, throwing on the wheel and surface design. Students create pieces to be fired and picked up after the camp’s conclusion. In the Comics and Storyboards Camp, participants learn the skills necessary to develop their own characters, stories and worlds as they create their own comics, manga or anime.
For those ages 11-18 that are interested in learning more about topics such as game design, 3D printing and engineering, the Digital Culture Summer Institute at ASU’s Tempe campus offers multiple classes focusing on different technology-based subjects. Students ages 13-19 can partake in Camp Level Up 2026 at the ASU MIX Center. This three week program combines STEM skills, leadership development, creativity and personal growth into a curriculum with hands-on learning experiences.
Students seeking to gain real-life musical experience can participate in the ASU Popular Music Summer Camp. During this camp at ASU’s Downtown Phoenix campus, students ages 14-19 get to see firsthand what it is like to study music at ASU. Participants create music and practice together, learn how to mix, produce, record and perform while under the guidance of industry professionals and working artists. Campers also have the option to stay overnight in an ASU residence hall, giving them an idea of what college life is like.
